I started a new job at BBC America, and as you can tell, it's tons of fun.

This pic by me, as well as hundreds more from the Doctor Who screening yesterday in NYC.

See gallery 1 here and gallery 2 here on Facebook. You can see my snaps without "liking" the page, but if you can, go ahead and "like" that page. I thank ya.

Walking in the West Village yesterday, I spied the most amazing thing.

Wine from the future!

So I took a pic with my cheap-o cell phone and then blogged it for truTV, right here.

Thanks for checking it out, if you check it out.

Susie

Your dog ignored on a Manhattan roof -- only $1000/month!

The Ritzy Canine Carriage House, "New York's city [sic] preeminent luxury quarters, daycare and veterinary facility for dogs and cats," has a rooftoop billed thusly, "Your loved one will revel in the simple pleasure of playing outdoors in the fresh air." Well, my undercover, overhead investigation reveals "play" = bored dogs hoping the guy on the roof will stop texting his girlfriend and throw a ball. All pictures taken on 6/20/07 by me.

"Please pet meeeeeeeeeeeee!"

And finally, fat NYC dogs getting fatter...
<-- Look at the dog stage right... he's dreaming of his rich and overly guilty owner's bed.

A few years ago, I worked briefly at a dog spa in Manhattan (not this one). I didn't last long for a variety of reasons. What I learned could fill a book. And so that's what I'm doing. Stay tuned...

MANHATTAN ALERT!
Flickr group "Sugar Dude Liberation Front -- Pro Cakis Mori!" have planned the 2nd Annual Sugar Dudes Liberation Day tonight at 6PM, La Delice Bakery.

They only posted notice of this action today. That seems rash. I only hope there is not too much icing shed.

So, if you've always wanted to see a bunch of performance photography artists from the UK or Williamsburg (not sure, really) photographing massive cupcakes in various states of protest, now is your chance!

Also, apparently, still high on sugar, they all go out and party afterwards.

I can't go. But I support the cause. The cause being life, liberty and the pursuit of booze and cupcakes.

Hey, nice rack!
Magazine rack, that is...

Usually when Fitness magazine gets racy, it's all about 5K's. But I found a coffee shop on Hudson street that makes their subscription look muy sexy!

It's a beautiful NYC day.

But I am in an office so I could give a rat's ass.

No really, I could. And here you go. A rat's ass.

Taken this morn @ 10AM, E40th street, Manhattan.

Love,

Susie, giver of rat's asses

Crossroads

Fumbling in my bag
on the corner of 40th and something
trying to find and apply lipstick
nonchalantly,
before the light changes.

WALK

I am off.
Before I’ve found the tube
or a mirror
or the courage.
I instinctively roll my eyes.

Such a pathetic ambition,
and aborted to boot!

I scold myself for managing to look like somebody’s nervous mom,
come into Manhattan for the day.

Then I realize
I am.
