On Scrabble's offical website, there is an image that perplexes me:

I would think babies and Scrabble don't mix.

...can't spell.

...prone to choking on/flinging letters.

...don't appreciate you concentrating on anything but them.

It says TIPS, but sadly, there are no tips on how to get your baby to enjoy Scrabble!

But the baby is slightly see-through, so perhaps it is a ghost baby. A ghost baby from another dimension. A ghost baby from another dimension who simply docks its knowledge portal to your forehead, wet-wiring the Scrabble dictionary to your cerebellum as seen here:

Data transfer in progress.

Then, the ghost baby smiles and claps its hands as you slay your opponents with words like KA, ES and XU.

OK, that makes sense.

1..31.08 UPDATE: I think I've found the babies & Scrabble connection. It's like the Rainbow Connection, but sexier. It's writer/Comedian Jen Dzuria looking Scrabblicious in these stunning photos by Bill Waldman.

I think it's pretty clear, playing Scrabble in this manner, would make Scrabble babies.

Yer welcome.

Gawker linked to me (here) and, not surprisingly, I got a lotta new visitors. They even made this pretty little ad thingy:

Anywho, if you're new here, welcome. What you should know is that I'm awesome (obviously) and you should check out every site in my sidebar as they are awesome too. And here I will throw a bone to my dayjob as the newly-hatched site still has a video on it I made that stars my dog and baby. And that's worth the price of admission alone. No blog anymore/yet but stay tuned Felber fans -- lots of cool stuff TK.

9/11: If Only We Had Listened to the Mugs

Struck by their eerily prophetic nature, I bought these in downtown Manhattan the week after 9.11.2001.

Boo England!

My pal Todd was one of a few writers for RADAR who recently found their stuff was blatantly plagiarised by the Sunday Times of London. Here's an article about the apology TK in today's Guardian. And Todd tells you the whole story here in a blog post called "Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery."

My fave part is how they took lines and UK'd them up -- like merely changing cell phone to mobile-phone. And somehow they are less funny after having been put through the Britalizer. The whole business is morally wrong, sure, but it's also thrillingly stupid!

If those tea-drinking rapscallions think they can steal our amusing listicles, they've got another thing coming! And that other thing? Well, as I happen to live with a tea-drinking rapscallion, I'd best keep mum, er, I mean, mah trap shut.

Speaking of New Hampshire...

I can't hear about New Hampshire without thinking of my favorite NH author who is also my favorite NH Representative who also writes my very favorite NH blog.

WARNING: Her blog will make you want to move to NH. But don't be fooled by the pretty picture of her you see here -- it was actually -40 below when that was taken. And by actually, I mean not actually.

I found this offering from a Montclair, NJ bakery:

Q: Now, does that look delicious or what?

A: OMG -- it looks like the animals are sitting in their own drek!
